FUNDRAISING FOR THE

WATERVILLE SKATEBOARD PARK

A committee has been formed to raise $165,000 for the purpose of building a skateboarding park in the south end of Waterville.  Skateboarding is now the 3rd largest participant sport in the United States.  In our area skaters need a place to go that is a safe alternative to the streets.

Support of this project has been overwhelming!

ü      In excess of 300 youths (skateboarders) have expressed interest in this facility

ü      Supported by parents of skateboarders

ü      Supported by both the Parks & Recreation Department & the Alfond Youth Center

ü      The Waterville Police Department has indicated a recognition of the need for a skateboard park

ü      Support has been expressed by several local businesses

ü      Supported by the South End Community

ü      Supported by the City of Waterville, voting to build it on city owned Green Street Park.

We ask you to show your support by making a tax-deductible donation!  Anything you do will help make this community project a success.

It is the leadership of the community that makes projects like this successful.

Your support is greatly appreciated.  The time is right!
