Pantry Project: Healthy Items to Donate
Fruits and Vegetables: Canned vegetables (low-sodium, water-packed); Canned fruits in 100% juice or lite syrup; 100% fruit and vegetable juices; Dried fruits and vegetables (no added sugar/fat)
Proteins: Canned meat/seafood (low-sodium, water-packed); Dried beans, peas, and lentils; Canned beans and peas (low-sodium)
100% Whole Grains: Whole-wheat pasta, barley, and rice; Whole-grain cereal and rolled oats (low-sugar/unsweetened)
Healthy Fats: Low-sodium nuts and nut butters
Other Foods: Pancake mix; Canned soups or stews (low-sodium); Baby food
Essentials Items: Hand soap, Body wash, Shampoo, Deodorant, Toothpaste/toothbrushes, Diapers/wipes, Toilet paper, Hairbrushes, Mouthwash
Cans that are crushed, spoiled, rusting, swollen or have bulging ends, punctured, leaking or have holes, past expiration date, missing labels.
Glass jars that are damaged at tamper resistant seal, cracked or chipped, spoiled, dirty under rim, past expiration dates. Please do not donate home-canned goods.
Cardboard Cartons that are torn, missing inner packaging, showing evidence of insects, past expiration date.
Refrigerator or Freezer foods. We do not have access to refrigerated storage between donation date and when we deliver to pantries.
