CITY OF WATERVILLE

Public Safety Dispatcher – Full-time

 The City of Waterville is accepting applications for one full-time Public Safety Dispatcher position.  Successful applicants will be responsible for providing dispatching services to area police, fire, rescue, and medical personnel.  Applicants must possess a minimum of a high school diploma, G.E.D. and college is preferred.  Also, Certified Terminal Operator, EMD, and E911 qualified preferred.  Successful applicants must meet job description, minimum physical, medical, and psychological standards.  Applications may be obtained from the Human Resource Office, City Hall, 1 Common Street, Waterville, Maine 04901 and returned no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday June 20, 2008.  EOE.

POOL MANAGER

The City of Waterville seeks to fill the position of Pool Manager for our outdoor pool facility.  The Pool Manager will promote all aquatic programs, supervise lifeguards and swim instructors, and assist in the general supervision of the aquatic facility.

 Applicants must have graduated from high school, some college experience preferred.  The qualified applicant should also possess current Lifeguard Certification, with preference toward LGIT and WSIT certification.

POOL STAFF

 The City of Waterville seeks to fill the part time positions of lifeguards for our outdoor pool facility.  Lifeguards are responsible for maintaining a safe swim program, along with assisting with the daily operations of the pool complex.

 Applicant must be certified in Lifesaving, CPR, and First Aid.  Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification is preferred.

RECREATION STAFF

 The City of Waterville seeks to fill the position of Recreation Leader for our summer programs.  This position is responsible for supervision of individuals registered for summer programs.  Applicant must be responsible and dependable and able to work throughout the summer months.

Qualified applicants are requested to complete an application for any position and return it to the Parks & Recreation Office, 6 Wentworth Court, Waterville ME 04901, no later than Friday, May 9, 2008.

The City of Waterville provides a comprehensive pay and benefit package to full time employees. Compensation is based upon salary scales found in union agreements or a classification pay plan for non-unionized administrative personnel.
