Death Certificate Information
Death records are available at the town/city hall in the municipality where the person passed away, at the town/city hall of the place of residence of the deceased, and in Augusta at the Bureau of Vital Statistics.
Certified copies of death certificates can be issued to anyone who has a legitimate interest in the decedent. The fee is $10, for the first copy, and $5 for each additional copy.Death records can be requested in writing through the mail by indicating deceased full name, date of death, and relationship to deceased. Send your request, along with a check payable to the City of Waterville and a self addressed stamped envelope to:
