Franco-American Family Festival

Franco American Festival

Each year the City of Waterville celebrates the area's Franco-American heritage with a weekend of Franco-American events and festivities.  The weekend events culminate with the Franco-American Family Festival, held at the Head of Falls (off Front Street) in downtown Waterville, on Sunday afternoon from 12:00pm-5:00pm.

The Franco-American Family Festival is open to the public and offers specialty foods to support non-profit vendors; an antique car show; children’s activities and prizes; a Tourtiere Pie Contest, with a local celebrity chef judging the contest; and live music and dance by well-known bands.  If you would like to participate in the Tourtiere Pie Contest, please bring your pie at the start of the festival (noon) on Sunday.

Admission to the festival is free.  No pets or alcoholic beverages are allowed on site.  For more information please check out the links using the left-hand navigation bar on this page.

On the day of the festival you can also check it out with a "birds-eye view" using the City's Head of Falls webcam at: http://www.waterville-me.gov/departments/about/content/653/head-of-falls-webcam.php
