The Maine Department of Transportation (MeDOT) has advised the City of Waterville of two (2) upcoming road maintenance projects
- They are currently working on the final design of the Wearing Surface Replacement Project for the Waterville Chaplin Street Bridge, carrying Chaplin Street over Routes 11, 100 & 202. MeDOT will be advertising for competitive bids in February, with construction anticipated to begin in May and be completed by the end of June. Traffic will be maintained by using traffic signals and a single lane closure with alternating two-way traffic.
- The MeDOT will be accepting bids in March to complete a Highway Resurfacing Project on route 104 (Main Street) this summer and into the fall. The project is further described as beginning at Sanger Avenue and extending northerly 5.89 miles to the Middle Road in Fairfield.
The City of Waterville will post updates on these projects when/if they are provided to us by the MeDOT.
