The City of Waterville offers single-stream (no sort), curbside recycling to its residents. Collection takes place on the 1st and 3rd FULL weeks of each month, on your regular rubbish collection day.
No special bins are required, however, recyclables must be in containers clearly labeled, “recycling” or “recycle.” Plastic or metal containers/bins are acceptable.

Shredding on Site (Armory Road) also offers drop-off recycling for residents & businesses. Sorting is required. Hours: Tuesday-Saturday 8am-3pm; FMI: Call SOS at 872-2029


Electronics Waste Disposal/Recycling:

eWaste Alternatives Recycling Center (60 Industrial Street) – Recycles the majority of electronics and appliances for FREE. For more information, please visit their website or contact eWaste Alternatives directly at 322-6257.

Pine Tree Waste (2 LaFluer Road)- Disposal fees may apply. For more information, please contact Capitol Transfer/Pine Tree Waste at 873-1219.

Car batteries and Freon Units:

One Steel Recycling (25 Ayers Street, Oakland) will take car batteries and Freon units. Call FMI: 465-2212


Christmas Tree Recycling:

There is also a special collection for Christmas trees each year during the month of January.
