Due to replacement of a water main by the Kennebec Water District, Appleton Street will become One-Way (from Main to Elm) for about 3 weeks (see map below). In addition, Concourse access to Appleton will need to be closed for the same 3 week period. All parking lots, both public and private, will still be accessible. On street parking, however, will be unavailable in the immediate area while this work is in progress. Work is slated to begin on Monday, May 8.
A separate water line project, associated with the Haines Building, is scheduled to occur on Wednesday, May 10. That work will require a lane shift on Main Street and will only last 1 or 2 days. Final details for that work have not yet been received and approved, but an initial concept plan has been presented to the City for comment.
