Boards & Committees
Overview
Waterville's boards, commissions, and committees offer a vital link between the citizenry, the City Council, and city staff to ensure that our municipal government is dynamic, responsive, and accountable. The city values the outstanding advice, expertise, and time offered by civic volunteers who serve on its boards. Serving on a city board allows you to make a difference in your community and actively participate in the municipal government process and advancement of our community.
The City Clerk solicits applications to fill vacancies annually in October/early November. Brief interviews are then scheduled with the Mayor in December. Following Council approval, typically in early January, selected applicants are notified and sworn in for their terms.
